Law Departament organizes Beder Moot Court
Students Club "Beder Law Academy" in collaboration with Law Department at Hena e Plote Beder University, held for the fourth consecutive year the Moot Court simulator, where students of the first and second year improvised a fair trial.
The law case taken under consideration by the students was about a traffic accident occurred in at the roundabout where the driver had left wounded a pedestrian. After that the pedestrian was taken to hospital where he received the first aid. Then he denounces the driver and requires appropriate compensation.
The prosecutor maintained that the culprit in this case was the driver of the vehicle and because of the high speed was unable to avoid the impact. On the other hand the defense disputed this, noting that the victim was recklessly passing the road in a place where there were missing the white lines.
Autotechnician expert and witnesses helped to clarify this event by highlighting that the vehicle in question was walking comfort road signs that dictate the speed in the axis in question and that the culprit in this accident was passed.
As a result the court decided to declare the innocence of the driver of the vehicle.
Beder Moot Court turned into a tradition for the students of this departament, which was held in the presence of a considerable number of students and lecturers.
