Bedër, collaboration with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace
University College Bedër and the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace signed in Malta a memorandum of collaboration for promoting tolerance, dialogue and peace. The agreement was signed by the Rector of Bedër, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana and the President of the GCTP, Dr. Ahmed Mohamad Al Jarwan. The Parties will engage in the organization of international conferences, the development of scientific research, the involvement of students and staff in projects aiming at promoting tolerance, dialogue and peace.
In addition, Prof. Gjana participated in a symposium organized by the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, where he gave a presentation on “Teaching tolerance and dialogue in higher education as a need for a more secure and peaceful world: Case of Albania”. The symposium organized at the University of Malta, under the patronage of the President of Malta, Dr. George Vella, was attended by scholars from various countries of the world.
University College Bedër graduated the sixth generation of students at a ceremony organized at the Amphitheater of Lake Tirana. Already when eight years have passed since its start, Bedër graduated about 260 new specialists in the field of Justice, Communication, Islamic Sciences, English Language and Literature and in the field of Education.
With the participation of many personalities, academics, students and hundreds of relatives, the ceremony was opened with the greeting speech of the rector of University College Bedër, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, who congratulated students on the success achieved, encouraging them to constantly strive in the path of knowledge and facing every challenge of life.
"We come to this day, where everyone will start a new university. That university is called "University of Life". Life is a never-ending university. Life is a challenging university with lots of challenges, with lots of successful moments, but with failures.
And we throughout the many years of effort that we strive to achieve as an institution are to prepare you for these challenges. Trying to equip you not only in the academic dimension, but also in the human dimension, as well as in the reality that a young person will expect because many things people see over the years, with the passing of their lives."- he said.
The ceremony was also held by the Muslim Community Chairman Bujar Spahiu and businessman Artan Dulaku who gave congratulatory messages and motivation for the students congratulating them on their achievements.
Also present were the chairman of the Board of the Hafiz Ali Korca Foundation, Skender Brucaj and the Chairman of the High State Control, Bujar Leskaj who shared certificates for outstanding students.
Kevin Shehu and Gentian Grabova held their greeting speech on behalf of all students based on the values they found in Bedër.
During his speech, Kevin Shehu recalled what prompted her to study at Bedër. Meanwhile, the student Gentian Grabova thanked and praised the "guarantors" of the values he found in Bedër. In the end, all graduate students in bachelor and master programs went on stage to throw graduation hats successfully completing their trip to Bedër.

Students of Public Relations and Communication Marketing visit to Kosovo
The first year students of the Bachelor in Public Relations and Marketing Communication at University College Bedër held a one-day study visit to Kosovo.
Under the leadership of the Head of Communications Department, Dr. Erlis Çela and Marketing Lecturer, Dr. Edlira Mali, students visited the marketing agency "Karrota", monument "NEWBORN" and AAB College in Prishtina.
The first visit was made to the marketing agency "Karrota". During the visit, they were welcomed by the founder of the agency, Fisnik Ismajli, who knew more about the agency and marketing in Kosovo. Ismajli introduced the students the process of marketing campaigns that starts with the creative process and continues with the idea and implementation. He explained how audiences are targeted, what mistakes are made most during the process, and how marketing can be done at a low cost, bringing a concrete example from the "Carrot" agency with the "Yours" campaign. The discussions continued on the advantages and problems that today are characterized by marketing and mainly the advertising field.
Further, the students visited the monument "NEBORN", where Mr. Fisnik Ismajli, confessed to students the idea, history, significance and transformation of this monument from year to year.
Finally, students visited the AAB College in Pristina. During this visit, students were accompanied by Vice-Rector for Science at AAB College, Hasan Saliu and Vice-Rector for International Relations, Venera Llunji.
The students visited the premises of AAB College; theaters, libraries, recreational and sports facilities. Further, they received information on the university education system in Kosovo, and discussed exchange program options.
Meanwhile, the "Bedër" University College and AAB College in Prishtina are cooperation partners, have organized jointly scientific conferences and other activities from time to time.
The 5th student conference on Law
The Law Department at University College Bedër , in cooperation with the "Law School Students Association", organized the 5th student conference on "Albania under the Interaction of Law, Society and Politics".
The proceedings of this conference were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, Prof. dr. Assoc. Rrahim Ombashi and Mr. Enkelejd Alibeaj. In his speech, Mr. Alibeaj praised the youth initiative in organizing such a scientific event at a student level. According to him, the elements of law, society and politics and the correct relationship between them, have a decisive significance for the well-functioning of a country. The conference was also greeted by Ms. Ermira Shkreta, representative of the Department of Justice and Thoma Kristo, President of the student club "Beder Law Students Association".
With the participation of about 19 students from the first and second cycle of studies, the papers addressed different current topics, which today constitute the essence of the debate in Albanian justice.
The conference was held in 2 sessions, where each session the referrals presented their works that were evaluated with certificates by a jury composed of university lecturers.
In addition to the certificates, the top 3 works were also valued at other awards.
1. Erisa Datja & Ledina Shabani, with the topic 'Reform in justice, precondition for opening negotiations', were the first prize winners.
2. Kristela Nikolla, with the topic "Privacy and Personal Data Protection", was awarded the second prize.
3. The winner of the third prize was student Jona Kaso, on the topic: "Violation of the right to information when it comes to state secrets".
The launch of this conference this year was the participation of some law students from universities in the US.
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, under the auspices of ILSA, brings together International Law students from all over the globe. Jessup is the world's largest international competition for law students, with participants from more than 800 universities worldwide.
Law students from University College Bedër will represent Albania in this edition, which will take place online between March 15 - April 18. The group consists of Razije Hela, Elvis Lika, Inisa Sota, Erkan Hasanaj and Aisha Morina. Meanwhile their coaches are Daniel Klingenberg and Dr. Gentjan Skara.
These days the team of "Bedër" is holding friendly confrontations with teams from different countries. During the confrontations that are preceding the final competition, students present their arguments regarding issues and causes assigned to the jury, from which they receive evaluations and suggestions.
University College Bedër, in the framework of career planning, throughout the month of March organizes information days for high school graduates. This year the organization takes place online through the ZOOM platform.
High school graduates have the opportunity to attend the presentations of our professors regarding the study programs and opportunities offered by Bedër University College.

The Bachelor students in Information Technology and Communication presented various topics related to application concepts with object oriented programming programming and web programming.
