Bedër University lecturers, participants in the Istanbul Summit

Representatives of Hëna e Plotë (Bedër) University along with some civil society representatives participated in the Istanbul Summit with the theme "Women's Perspectives on the agenda of the UN development after 2015".

This summit was organized by the Journalists and Writers Foundation in collaboration with Abant and Women Platform in Turkey.This summit aims contributing to the development objectives of the UN after 2015 and awareness of all societies worldwide.

Specifically, the event provided the opportunity for opening new routes to the proposed perspectives and opinions on social development goals by bringing together about 600 women participants from more than 40 countries worldwide, respectively women from CSO fields and parliamentary representatives.

Another topic of this Summit was the creation of opportunities for networking and sharing of experiences between NGOs from around the world expressing ideas, policies and work related to the subject of the summit.

Different speakers throughout the summit discussed various topics such as: "The elimination of poverty", "empowerment of women", "Health", "Education", "Environment", "Climate change and energy", "Food security, water and hygiene", " Economic development" and "Peace and good governance".
