Fatmir Xhafaj in a conversation with students of Beder for justice reform
Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Legal Issues, Public Administration and Human Rights, also chairman of the justice reform, Fatmir Xhafaj shared with students of Beder the importance of the reform in this area.
The guests at the opening ceremony of the 3rd Students Conference on justice organized by Law Department in collaboration with Students Club "Beder Law Academy", Mr. Xhafaj spoke about the progress of the work in the commission reform.
During an exclusive conversation with students, he explained the pillars on which will be held this reform.
-Constitutional changes
-Reform on the Judicial system
-Reform of the Prosecution
-Legal-education reform
-Regulation of the liberal professions
-Reform against corruption
Each of these pillars will have groups of experts responsible for monitoring its progress. A group will be committed to the implementation of the constitutional changes, a reform of the judicial system, criminal justice, a legal education of citizens, a proper functioning of the liberal professions within the justice system and a group that will deal with the drafting of anti-corruption strategy.
Mr.Xhafaj stressed that some of the persistence and insistence for successful implementation of this reform are coming from the policy, where are also coming some of the contradictions and thorniest controversies. Law Committee Chairman concluded his speech by explaining that effective closure and efficient materialization of this reform is a necessity for the proper functioning of justice and an undisputed claim of every citizen of this country.
Head of the committee congratulated law students for organizing the conference as an important step in academic writings but also in legal and judicial education for young Albanians.
