Hëna e Plotë (Bedër) University sign Memorandum of Understanding with Universities in Europe, Asia and USA

International Cooperation On May 31 – June 1, 2013, a delegation from Hëna e Plotë (BEDËR) University chaired by the Rector, Dr. Ferdinand Gjana was invited to participate in the 3rd International Congress on Trends inHigher Education with the topic “Innovative and Entrepreneurial University” held in Istanbul. The purpose of the congress was to provide a unique international forum to discuss foresights and new trends of Innovative and Entrepreneurial University in the world. It is also aimed to examine the basic problems and challenges of higher education and come up with some innovative solutions.

During the congress, Hëna e Plotë (BEDËR) University aiming to expand and to strength its international collaboration, signed Memorandum of Understanding on bilateral cooperation in education areas with the following Universities:

North American College- USA

Qavqaz University – Azerbaijan; 

University of Selangor – Malaysia;

Vistula University – Poland;

Nigerian Turkish Nile University – Nigeria;

Diponegro University – Indonesia;

Widyatama University – Indonesia;

Mansoura University - Egypt

The scope of agreement may include activities such as:

1.Joint research and educational activities at both bachelor and graduate levels;

2.The exchange of invitations to scholars (faculty, research personnel and graduate students) to participate in lectures, conferences and symposia;

3.The exchange of faculty staff and research scholars for study and research;

4.The exchange of graduate and undergraduate students;

5.The exchange of academic and scientific information of mutual interest;

6.Any other mutually activity that would benefit both parties.

International Profile

Since its establishment, one of the main objectives of “Hëna e Plotë” Bedër University has been the internationalization and establishment of close cooperation with universities both in the region and beyond. Being a bilingual University in Albanian and in English has contributed to foster cultural diversity as our students come from 15 different countries and the faculty members originate from 6 different countries. With these new agreements, the international profile of the “Hëna e Plotë” Bedër University has been consolidated and in the same time will contribute to exchange of academic staff and students as well with Asian and African Universities.
