Collaboration with American Universities, the priority of the international relations of Bedër University

Collaboration with American Universities, the priority of the international relations of Bedër University College in Strategic Plan 2017-2022 Found in a week-long program in the United States, Rector of Bedër University College, claims that after several visits to the most prestigious universities in the US, some cooperation agreements have been reached with: ·         “Temple” University ·         "Rudgers" University ·         "Georgetown" University ·         University of "Colorados" ·         University of "Pennsylvania" ·         "Northern Arizona" University  In addition, cooperation agreements have been reached with three international organizations: · Institute of International Education (IIE.org) · Institute of Dialogue (Temple University) · Scholars at Risk Within the framework of these agreements, current students of the institution, also those who will choose Bedër to study in the next academic year will have multiple opportunities to carry out exchange programs at the aforementioned universities. These agreements also allow the exchange of experiences between Bedër and United States Universities.    

Bedër University College, graduated the fourth generation of students

Bedër University College, graduated the fourth generation of students at a ceremony organized in the National Historical Museum. Apart  the numerous students who threw the graduation caps in the air, closing a very important part of their life, in this ceremony there were also present the rector of Bedër, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, the head of the Albanian Muslim Community, Skender Bruçaj, rector of Epoka University, Prof. Dr. Güngör Turan, many personalities from the academic world, representatives of public and private institutions and also relatives and family members of the graduates. Already in the sixth academic year, Bedër graduates about 220 new specialists in the field of Education, Justice, English Language and Literature, Communication, Islamic Sciences, Turkish Language and Literature. During his greeting speech, the rector of the institution, Mr. Gjana expressed his enthusiasm for the success achieved in these three years. He further emphasized that the doors of the institution he leads will always be open to further support for the students. “Be assured, you and your parents too, that we will be near you and with you in every moment that you need”-he said. While Mr. Bruçaj focused on the image and quality that Bedër University College has built so far. He encouraged the graduated students to find always the best in the direction they will take in life. "This institution gave you the best of it throughout the study programs, it provided you with the skills that you need to be the best in the labor market, now it’s your moment  to prove  it ," he concluded. The ceremony continued with the distribution of excellence certificates according each study program. Ermelinda Gjeci, was rated as the highest student of the Bachelor in Law program, Xhorxhina  Seferi as the best Student in Islamic Science, Ola Kafazi in Primary Education, Ersida Kurtaj in Counseling Psychology and Guidance, Donisa Perseku in Communication Science , Zamira Aga in  English Language and Literature and Enxhi Kamberi in Turkish Language and Literature. Further, all the graduated students in bachelor and master programs went on the stage to throw up the graduation hats.

Cooperation agreement with Gjirokastra town holl

In the contest of interinstitutional cooperations, University College Beder, signed an agreement with Gjirokastra city hall in education, cultural and social areas. Both institutions agree on holding several staff trainings, organizing different professional practices for the students, exchanging experiences according to each one needs etc. The agreement was signed during the visit of Gjirokastra city hall delegation directed by Mrs. Zamira Rami. The delegation was welcomed by the rector of our institution Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana and other high representatives of Beder.

Cooperation agreement between Bedër and "Mother Teresa" University in Skopje

The rector of the Beder University College, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana with other representatives of the institution welcomed a delegation from "Mother Teresa" University, Skopje. After visiting different environments of Beder, Prof. Dr. Gjana and Prof. Dr. Aziz Pollozhani the Rector of "Mother Teresa" University, signed a cooperation agreement between the two institutions. Concretization points of this agreement consists in the exchange of students at each study level at least once a year, the common organization of academic, artistic and sportive events between two sides, exchange of academic staff, exchange of experiences in various national and international projects etc. Also, the two institutions will help in mutual equipping libraries with relevant scientific and professional literature published by the two universities. Both sides expressed the willingness of representative institutions in the concretization of the previous points of common interest.

Cooperation agreement with the Union of Albanian Journalists

University College Bedër, signed a cooperation agreement with the Union of Albanian Journalists to increase bilateral co-operation in the fields of information and education. Besides the current cooperation, Bedër and UAJ will continue to organize activities, lectures and training in the interests of professionals and young students in the field of media and communication.

More similar than different

The students of the Communication Sciences Department in Beder University College, organized the charity concert titled “More similar than different” On behalf of the world down syndrome day, this concert brought together artists, actors and musicians of the Albanian scene in the premises of Beder. The aim of this activity was to achieve incomes which will be used to help the children of “Down Syndrome Albania” foundation. From the artists which took part in the students' initiative, we can mention: Mr. Dritan Boriçi, Mrs. Myfarete Laze, Mr. Erlind Zeraliu, Mrs. Elona Zeraliu, Mr. Kristian Koroveshi, Mr. Gjergji Doka, Mrs. Vilma Hodo and the students Elton Cara, Hafsa Desatani and Sefer Vrana.

Cooperation agreement with AAB University College in Pristina

During the visits in different education institutions in Pristina, Beder delegation led by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, signed a cooperation agreement with AAB College in this city, first private high education institution in Kosovo. This agreement signed by the rectors of both institutions, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana and Prof.Dr. Lulzim Tafa, comes as a need to intensify further the cooperational relations between both institutions in academic era, in organizing of other national and international conference’s, staff exchange, in scientific research era etc.

Scientific conference held on topic: “25 years Drita Islame”

Professors of University College Beder, referred in the scientific conference “25 years Drita Islame” organized by Muslim Community of Albania on the occasion of 25-th anniversary of this magazine. Held in the premises of “Tirana International Hotel” the conference brought together representatives of religion communities from Albania, Kosovo and the region, academic’s, researcher’s etc. Also we mention here the participation of the President of the Republic of Albania Mr. Bujar Nishani, Mufti of Kosovo Mr. Naim Tërnava, Gostivar mufti, Mr. Shaqir Fetahu, Head of the State Committee on Cults Mrs. Loreta Aliko etc. In his greeting speech, the president Mr. Bujar Nishani, evaluated the high contribution of this magazine in religious and national education of the generations, from it’s beginning till nowdays.
