Folklore concert to close the campaign "Ruaj traditën, festo shqip"
Folk music is part of the day, and perhaps not every day gets the proper attention, the deserved appreciation, but it is an inherent part of every Albanian's life and as such has grabbed the students' attention in the Master of Science in Public Relations and Journalism in Bedër University College.
In the framework of the student campaign "Save the Tradition, Albanian Festo", the concluding concert was organized with the participation of many well-known professional artists (singers, instrumentalists and groups of dancers), representatives of all Albanian regions. This concert served as a concluding activity of a number of meetings and activities for folklore.
Under the moderation of Eraldo Rexha, Isida Mollayer and Iris Hazizaj, the concert opened with the Cham dance, devoted to the beautiful Albanian tradition.
On the stage of the Art University performed the best Albanian folk songs such as Irini Qirjako, Irma Libohova, Sabahete Vishnja, Lirie Rasha, Vera Laci, Petrit Lulo, Vojsava Alia, Anxhela Hamati, polyphonic group from Vlora.
Among the performances of the great singers we could not miss our magic dances, masterfully performed by several groups under the care of the best choreographers; Andrea Kokeri, Lindita Kaimi, Avni Ndreu, Bujar Gorenca, Tada Dance, as well as groups from Kamza Gymnasiums and Gymnasium Don Bosko.
The students of the Bedër University College made possible the bringing of any artistic value to the stage, including the instrumentalists known as the violinist Ervin Gonxhi, the well-known flautist Anxhela Kapja and the lahutisti Gjin Peplokaj, who added the colors and the beauty of this concert to the full-filled hall with spectators of all ages, who remained very satisfied and, thrilled, expressed the desire that such activities should not be lacking to the Albanian public, after disclosing and transmitting the values of Albanian history and art of generations, so necessary to maintaining ties to the tradition and the way done over the centuries.
The Concert ended with the greeting of second-year Master of Science in Public Relations and Journalism students, who for 4 months under the auspices of Edlira Mali lecturer have worked to carry out a series of activities under the awareness campaign "Save Tradition, Albanian Festo".
Workshop "When the Books Speak", invited Mr. Xhemal Balla
The Department of Islamic Sciences in cooperation with the student club "The Message of Life" and the Muslim Community of Albania, in the framework of the continuation of the seminar cycle "When the Books Speak", held today, the VIII meeting Promotion of two books from the Publications of PEMS Tefsiri of Surat "Fatiha" and Education, Human Formation Process as Human Beings, Xhemal Balla.
The event was opened by welcoming words from the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Rahim Ombashi, Head of Islamic Sciences Department, Dr. Genti Kruja, and Director of Culture and Education at KMSH, Dorian Demetja. In this event the special guest was Mr. Xhemal Balla, who provided more detailed information about his work and fruitful cooperation with the Muslim Community of Albania.
During this meeting, a fruitful conversation was held where both lecturers and students expressed their experiences, impressions and questions addressed to the professors present at the seminar on the works being promoted as well as about themes related to them.
Brajan Sukaj, winner at Book Fair 2019, invited to Bedër
The writer and winner of the "Tirana 2019" fair with the novel "Ciklopi" Brajan Sukaj was invited by the Book Club at University College Bedër.
The meeting was opened by pedagogue Agron Tufa, who made a panoramic view of the theme subject, while expressing his appreciation for the writer of the novel.
"Motherly love is the firstborn, sublime and capable of any kind of sacrifice. This sacrifice tells us through the novel, "said Tufa.
Further, the difficulties of the writing process, the dilemmas, and the assumptions of the author were discussed. Sukaj described his novel as a logic of American literature, "Show but do not tell," considering that in the novel things appear even though they are not said.
Mr. Sukaj said that the novel addresses the theme of the difference that is excluded from society. As literature has described as complementary to the story of things that are happening, they have either happened or are likely to occur.
At the end of the meeting, a conversation was held with students who had curiosity on the topic addressed in the novel and writing style.
The risk of cybercrime and the need of specialists in IT, invited Besmir Semanaj
The Department of Computer Science invited today Mr. Besmir Semanaj, technology expert and cybercrime.
During the meeting with the students of University College Bedër, Semanaj spoke about security on the Internet, how we can keep personal information and how to protect ourselves from viruses circulating on the Internet.
The students were also acquainted with the annoyance raised year after year regarding insecurity on the internet, starting from personal data to financial damage to citizens bank accounts, where Mr. Semanaj also showed his work experience at Albtelecom. Since cybercrime is one of the most worrying phenomena in the world, including Albania, in this case, the role of IT professionals who will emerge in the labor market is very important.
At the end of the meeting, students had the opportunity to conduct questions about online safety and their responsibility as technology-intensive researchers.
Edi Oga: Television, something beautiful and spectacular
Communication expert and journalist Edi Oga was invited to University College Bedër, within the MarCom seminar cycle. At a meeting with the students of the Department of Communication Sciences, he spoke about his experience, emphasizing the ways of communication in the television premises.
He further emphasized that television is the best tool to achieve some goals that would benefit the nation, taking the example of Italian television, who cultivated the tastes of the viewers and became a model for Albanian television.
"Television is something beautiful, spectacular, and the main ability to become a part of a television is to be enthusiastic," z. Oga said.
At the end of the meeting, it was important to have the good news for educating and cultivating the tastes of the audience, while encouraging the students to continue on the road to television, conveying positive and valuable messages to the society.
