The new strategic plan of the institution
On January 5, 2018, in the premises of the Academic Senate, working groups on the drafting of the strategic plan 2017-2022 presented drafted drafts regarding the quality of education, research and innovation, student life, graduates and institution promotion, impact and social responsibility, staff, finances and infrastructure.
Present were the Commission on Drafting the Strategic Plan, the Rector of the College and the academic staff.
General analysis of departments
The Academic Units of "Bedër" University College, on January 4, 2018, in the premises of the Academic Senate, conducted annual analyzes regarding their one year activity. The heads of these units presented the activity of the units during this academic year as well as the plans for the future, and within the framework of the drafting of the new strategic institutional plan, 2017-2022.
On January 12, 2018, at the premises of the Academic Senate, the Research Office, the Master Program Coordination Office; curriculum development office; the International Relations Office conducted an annual analysis of office activity. At the meeting, one-year office work, problems and plans / recommendations for the future were analyzed.
Present in these analyzes were the college rector Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, administrator and academic staff.
"Language, culture and history in the rule of law"
Within the framework of the "Brownbag Seminars" cycle, the next guest from the Bedër Law Students Association was Mr. Daniel Klingenberg, who shared with law students his experience in scientific research on the impact of language, culture and history in strengthening the rule of law.
In conversation with students, Mr. Klingenberg set out some of the elements that distinguish the Albanian people from other peoples around the world, as well as the problems encountered in strengthening the rule of law. Meanwhile, he displayed a special sympathy for the history and myths of our country.
"Albanians should know that no one except them can love Albania more, they have to build their own country," he added.
At the end of the meeting, students expressed their thoughts on the topic, and ask questions about Mr Klingenberg's research.
The Artistic Program "The Last Messenger of the Unseen"
The Department of Islamic Sciences in cooperation with student clubs: "Oasis Hope", "Message of Life" and "Music Club" organized an activity in memory of the birth of Prophet Muhammad. The "The last messenger of the unseen" artistic program featured a number of artistic points, such as reading the Qur'an, songs, poems, theatrical pieces etc.
The activity was opened by reading a part of the Qur'an by the student of Islamic Sciences Fatijon Shemshedini. Then Msc. Hekuran Uzuni, a professor at the Department of Islamic Sciences, said in his greeting speech: "Knowledge is one of the most valuable legacies our prophets have left us, and we, as the seeker of that knowledge, must make a claim."
Under the moderation of the students Sefer Vrana and Enxhi Hasmeta the program continued with the interpretation of ilahis, poems and theatrical parts by the students of Islamic Sciences that reflected the time when the Prophet Muhammad lived and conveyed some valuable messages to the presents.
To the program was invited also the deputy head of the Muslim Community Mr. Laurel Luli, who thanked the organizers and the attendees. In his greeting speech, he said: "It would be good if the echo of the voice of Prophet Muhammad to continue, to rise, to beautify, and to be more present in our lives will otherwise it was a bigger loss." He emphasized the fact that such activities should be more frequent because in such activities we make it possible to recall the importance of knowing the prophets.
While the Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences Prof. Dr. Asoc Rahim Ombashi thanking the organizers for the realization of this program, stressed that such joys make us feel more fulfilled spiritually.
This activity was attended by the Dean of Students, Kasim Ilhan, Head of Islamic Sciences Department. Genti Kruja, heads of other departments like, Dr. Erlis Çela and Dr. Isa Erbas, as well as numerous lecturers and students from Bedër University Colege.
The program was closed with an interpretation of some parts of Mevludi by Msc. Veton Tulla and student Abdullah Ziba. After the activity, the students of the Department of Islamic Sciences organized a food fair, the proceeds from the sale of which will help the families affected by the floods.
Minors in the objective of media
The department of Communication Sciences at Bedër University College in cooperation with the Audiovisual Media Authority and Albanian Center for Public Communication, held a workshop on "Minors in the Media Objective".
In this workshop were invited the Director of the Directorate of Programs at the AMA (Audiovisual Media Authority) Arben Muka, the AFP correspondent (Agence France-Presse) in Albania, Briseida Mema, Correspondent of "The Associated Press" Llazan Semini, President of the Union of Journalists, Alexander Çipa, Coordinator for Public Relations and Media in the Western Balkans Fund, Alban Tartari, the well-known writter and pedagogue, Agron Tufa.
During the seminar, under the moderation of Dr. Erlis Çela, was discussed on the current state of the media in the treatment of minors figures and programes dedicated to this ages. Vice-Dean at the Faculty of Humanities of the College Bedër University, Dr. Ramadan Çipuri and Mr. Alaban Tartari shared with master students the experiences and results during the project work at the workshops organized in some cities of our country with journalists of local medias. Also It was discussed about the current laws and the role of training organizations and placement of media regulators in relation to the representation of children's figure and standard ethics on television and other media. This meeting was also the finalization of the project on "Ethics of Reporting on Minors" developed in several cities of Albania.
At the end of the seminar, master students at Bedër University College shared their thoughts about the topic.
Seminar with DW Radio Journalist Ms. Mimoza Çika Kelmendi
The cycle of seminars "Student and Careers" is relapsed, an organization of Communication Sciences Department.
Invited to this first seminar, held in media museum at our institution, was the well-known journalist of DW Deutsche Welle, Mimoza Çika Kelmendi, accompanied by Mr. Alexandr Çipa, Head of the Union of Albanian Journalists and the Head of the Communication Sciences Department, Mr.Erlis Çela.
In front of the students of this department, Mimoza referred to the topic: "Public Media, European Models and the Albanian Crisis" bringing her several years of experience in the international media market and turning this seminar into an interactive conversation with multiple questions from students.
The "Student and Career" seminar is a tradition of the Department of Communication Sciences, which stretches throughout the year, making them more tangible than what students are learning at university auditors, through experiences from media and communication professionists.
