The contest was held: "Let's dance among Albanian folk songs and tunes"
In the framework of the "Ruaj traditën, festo Shqip" campaign, students of the second year of Master in Public Relations project conducted the contest "Dance between Albanian dance and Albanian melodies".
The competition was opened with the dancers of the Trad Folk Ensemble, an ensemble directed by choreographer Bujar Gorenca, participant in many national and international concerts, who brought a collection of dances that crossed Albanian lands from south to north.
The artistic group of the "Isa Boletini" school competed with the dance of Rrajca and the dance of Tropoja. Lindita Kaimi and Ensemble Alba, led by her, brought the dance of Tirana and a dance with North motives.
Gymnasium "Besnik Hidri" brought a little charm to Tropoja, with a dance of this treasure. Among other things, the ensemble "Folk Alb", directed by choreographer Avni Ndreu, had prepared dance from Çamëria to Rugova. The dance contest closed the group "Zumba with Fatilda", a group that adorned the hall by walking through the dance from Tropoja to Çamëria.
At the end of the contest "Let's dance Albanian folk songs and tunes" were awarded several awards, offered by the sponsors of this activity of students of University College Bedër, who were: Cinema Cineplexx, Turistic Agency "Magic M Travel", Studio " Besnik Ramaj Photography "," Infinit Gifts "," Creative Event "," Kamela "," Auto Bebi "," New Media Communications "," Index "," Creative Event ".
Meanwhile, the jury was composed by Genc Kastrati, choreographer of the National Ensemble, Isida Mollaymeri, Ballet of the Opera and Ballet Theater, and Liljana Cingu, dancer of the National Ensemble of National Songs and Dance.
Symposium of the Interreligious Academic VII "Mary / Mary, as a symbol of virtue and piety"
The seventh Interfaith Symposium in the academic field is now a tradition of interfaith cooperation between university representatives of the three theological academic schools in Albania, the Department of Islamic Sciences at the Bedër University College, the Orthodox Theological Academy "Resurrection of Christ" Saint Vlash, Durrës and the Catholic Theological Institute at the Inter-Diocese Seminary "Ladies of the Good Council", bringing together leaders, lecturers, students and representatives of the three educational institutions.
Initially, the symposium has greeted, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Rahim Ombashi, Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences, Bedër, who has linked the figure of Hz. Mary / Mary with our national heritage in the field of culture and literature for the role of woman and wider.
"We have called this interreligious academic gathering the permanent need to communicate between woman for symbolic or woman symbol, because we feel the need to understand the woman's mystery in monotheistic beliefs, followed in physical life," said among other things Prof. Ombashi.
Then at the symposium moderated by Dr. Genti Kruja, have kept their references and press releases from the three higher theological schools, Mr. Dhimitër Qosja from the Orthodox Theological Academy, St. Vlash, Durrës, Mimoza Jaku from the Catholic Theological Institute (Interdiocean Seminar), Shkodër and Ms. Lorela Shehu of the Islamic Sciences Department, Bedr, who have treated the majestic figure of Mary / Mary in the Christian and Islamic viewpoint as an inspirational model of virtue, devotion, and exemplary faith to God as Creator and Comprehensive.
At the end, questions and discussions were held by pedagogues and students of three theologies about the topic of the symposium.
Discussion panel "Ruaj traditën, festo shqip"
A group of students from the Master Program of Science, the Journalism and Public Relations branch gathered at a round table, researchers and artists in the framework of the campaign "Ruaj traditën, festo shqip", to raise the awareness of the youth in preserving folklore. This campaign was initiated on the basis of a course assignment, in the Concept and Campaign Management subject.
Ph. D. Edlira Mali is also a student counselor during this project, which has orientated students in every activity.
The mainstay of the table was the risk of losing our folk heritage. Researchers have expressed concern over the difficulty of overcoming folklore from generation to generation. Referring to the holders, almost a voice all agreed on the fact that the bearers are losing, while we are also losing a cultural heritage.
The round table was moderated by well-known journalist Anisa Ymeri, who joined the students' campaign for delivering Albanian folk values and traditions, while student Beklie Koltraka presented the concept of the "Ruaj traditën, festo shqip" campaign for the participants.
Campaign manager student Donisa Perseku thanked all the participants for participation while celebrating the reasons for undertaking such a campaign, starting from the needs of our society to preserve their roots.
Rector of Bedër University College during his greeting speech congratulated the students on the organized activity. "Youth value, which grows and is nurtured with all components of that nation," he added.
During the conversation was also discussed about the extraordinary values of folklore and the importance of its inheritance. Prof. Dr. Rahim Ombashi gave a very precious message to all those present, pointing out the importance of this meeting. "We take such initiatives because we have the opportunity and above all feel responsibility for the future. Do not forget the Albanian lute, the tradition, without them it would be something that went without a spirit, "said among other things. Meanwhile, the renowned writer Doc. Dr. Agron Tufa focused on the special elements of Albanian folklore that make our roots deep and impressive to anyone who experiences them.
An important part of the meeting was the importance of the lute, referring to the recent events as well. The collector and instrumentalist Ermal Sela, seeing the lute placed on the table, said that three of them are authentic Albanian, thus making the difference between the Albanian and the Serbian lute. Among other things, he said that due to the massivization are being produced Serbian lute as being Albanian. On this occasion, two renowned music guitars who played their musical instruments, Jonuz Delaj and Gjin Peplokaj, were invited to the table.
Ethnology and Anthropology Armanda Hysa stated that true folklore is not found in folk festivals, but at family celebrations and weddings. Also, researcher Ilirjana Kaceli mentioned the historical events of importance for the inheritance of our culture.
Meanwhile Genc Kastrati, choreographer of the State Ensemble, talked about Albanian folk dances showing their peculiarities. "Balkan dances are characterized by dynamical feet, while in the Albanian dance moves every part of the body." He further adds the explanation of the word dance through the word arbëreshe waves, explaining respectively the sensation that the Albanian dance is dynamic and elegant.
While the former ballet dancer and choreographer Lindita Kaimi, besides the nostalgia for the contests of the past years, as well as the memory of the discipline and the care that dances served, brought to the attention and diversity of the Albanian folk costumes, as well as the changes that are present in very close villages.
The student campaign has been joined by the renowned ballet dancer of the Opera and Ballet Theater, Isida Mollaymeri, who has supported the students in the steps of organizing the activities.
The campaign will continue with a contest of dances, where all interested parties are invited to apply for participation. The winners of the first three places of the competition will have the opportunity to perform at a grand concert with invited art personalities as well as other awards.
Cooperation Agreement with Zhejiang University of Science and Technology
During these days, the Rector of the Bedër University College, Prof. Gjana met with the president of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, where they discussed about a potential partnership between the two universities.
Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) is an institution of higher education founded in 1980, located in the historic and picturesque city of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, one of the most prosperous provinces in China. ZUST is a multidisciplinary university with focus on engineering including science, art, economics, management and education. ZUST's development is closely related to it’s international cooperation. ZUST, since it’s inception, has entered into collaboration with Germany and is now an important platform for technology education and cooperation between Zhejiang Province and Germany. To date, ZUST has successfully established formal cooperation with over 50 universities in Germany, the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Belgium, Romania and so on. ZUST is still making further strides in developing international co-operation in the fields of exchange of academic staff and students, research and study programs.
Rector of the Bedër University College, Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Gjana and President of the Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, Prof. Ye Gaoxiang signed a co-operation agreement on November 28, 2018.

Organizing joint research projects and publications
Collaboration and exchange of resources and staff with regard to library services and other similar services.
